CBT General

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is a legal requirement for all provisional motorcycle licence holders.

  • CBT follows a Driving Standards Agency (DSA) course outline with our DSA fully approved instructors.
  • CBT begins 'off road' in a safe area and progresses to an 'on road' session where the instructor will assess your riding ability
  • CBT is available Monday - Sunday.
  • CBT will normally take you from complete novice to a competent learner motorcyclist.

 

CBT Course structure

The CBT is a stuctured course, Which consists of 5 seperate modules.

 

Module A :- Eyesight check, Equipment & clothing.

 

Module B :- Controls, Basic machine checks, balance & braking.

 

Module C :- Practise on-site riding.

 

Module D :- Road briefing & safety talk.

 

Module E :- Practical on road riding.

 

Successful canditates will be then be issued with a DL149 (CBT Certicate).
